5 Reasons why Kruger National Park Safari is such a great idea post-covid ?

There is no doubt that if you are looking for a holiday post-covid, you will have been trawling for ideas and destinations that offer wide open spaces, crowd free venues, good value for money and natural wilderness. If that sounds like a few of your own considerations, then there is no doubt that the Kruger National Park is a perfect option to consider for you and your family.

Here are 5 Reasons why we think a Kruger Park Safari should be on the top of your bucket-list :

Wide Open Spaces

With 2 million hectares to explore the Kruger National Park is not only an amazing adventure but offers travellers so much more space than any other National Park of Private Nature Reserve. Just imagine exploring this wilderness with just you and your family aboard your own private safari vehicle. Owner and Head Guide, Andrew Wagner, loves nothing more than getting lost with guests and heading off the beaten track in to more remote areas where few dare to venture. Heading into the Central or Northern Kruger for 4 to 6 days offers an even greater sense of solitude and ensures personal space, great game viewing and an adventure of a lifetime.

Private Game Drives

Being a Private Safari Operator in Kruger means that we are rather use to social distancing ourselves from other travellers and groups but the Covid19 pandemic has now certainly changed the way we all do things and a private safari is the only way to go. You can rest assure that your Safari is personal to you and that includes your itinerary, accommodation and of course game drives. You can explore Kruger with your own guide and open safari vehicle with a flexible travel itinerary that suites you and your family.

Socially distant accommodation options

There are so many accommodation options available it really depends on you and the experience you would like to have. We offer a variety of 3, 4, 5 and 6 Day Kruger National Park Safaris that overnight inside the Kruger National Park at a selected few Camps. All Bungalows are maintained according to Strict Covid protocols by SANParks and because the camps and bungalows are widely spread out you can rest assured that you are not on top of other travellers. The other alternative would be to stay in one of our selected hotels outside the Park that is a short drive daily through the entrance gates and into the Park. Lastly and perhaps one of our preferred options is to stay in one of the 5 Star Villas that we offer just outside the Park and do daily morning and afternoon day safaris into the Park and perhaps even explore the Panorama Route with your guide.

Strict safety protocols

Perhaps being the hardest hit industry as a result of the Covid pandemic, believe us when we say that we are so fussy and covid conscious, because we know how important it is to get our industry going again. As an industry we are all striving to offer the strictest protocols that offer our guests peace of mind and a sense of confidence to travel with us and throughout South Africa.

Being Private Kruger National Park Safari operator already means that you will have limited contact with other people and all the administration, gate permits, accommodation selection, guide engagement and open vehicle travel have all been put in place to ensure that you are safe and can travel with peace.

As it is being out in the Kruger National Park region we have had far less contact with the pandemic than the major populated regions of South Africa like Cape Town, Durban and Johannesburg. This is in itself a major benefit and another great reason to choose a Safari and travel to the Kruger National Park.

Incredible Value

For travellers who choose South Africa and Safari there is certainly no doubt that besides the wide open spaces, beautiful destinations, great infrastructure and incredible experiences, there is definitely great value in the attractive rates offered. As the saying goes, a trip to South Africa and a Safari in the Kruger National Park offers a real “bang for your buck”
